Abid Hussain - Treasurer
Hello, I’m the Treasurer for LHCDA. I’m approachable, a good listener and always ready to hear what drivers have to say. I enjoy socialising and building strong relationships within our trade. I’m passionate about ensuring our association has the resources it needs to grow, and I’m constantly on the lookout for funding opportunities to support our work. Whether it's a charity cause or a major city event, I’m always happy to roll up my sleeves and get involved. Supporting the trade isn’t just my role—it’s something I truly believe in.
As Treasurer, I manage the association’s finances, making sure everything is transparent, accountable, and used to benefit our members. I handle budgeting, oversee fundraising efforts, and help allocate resources where they’re most needed. I’m also responsible for reporting on financial matters to the board and ensuring that we stay on a stable and sustainable financial path. Whether it’s for events, campaigns, or driver support, I make sure the financial side of our work runs smoothly.
Aumit Rasool - Public Relations Officer
Hey there! I’m the Public Relations Officer—though most of my colleagues just call me “Smiley.” I’m always wearing a smile because I genuinely enjoy what I do and the people I work with. I’ve previously worked in the financial sector, so I understand how systems and communications work on a bigger scale. I bring that experience into promoting our association and building strong connections with the public. I enjoy my daily long walks—they keep me grounded and refreshed. I’m always open to new ideas and believe we should never settle for the status quo. My personal motto is:
“Don’t leave things the way they are—work to change them for the better.”
As Public Relations Officer, I manage our image, communications, and engagement with both the public and the media. I help spread awareness of our mission, update the community on key developments, and showcase the positive work of the association. Whether it's through events, social media, or campaigns, I ensure we maintain a professional and approachable presence. I also gather feedback and ideas from our drivers to help steer our messaging in a way that truly reflects who we are.
